Call for student researchers
The Student Workshop 2014 is a meeting of students and for students. It brings together student researchers from the graduate schools of Information Science, at Nara Institute of Science and Technology, and Hunan University (IS-NAIST * and IS-HunanU, respectively), offering a meeting place for interaction and exchange of research ideas and developments. This workshop is sponsored by JASSO*, NAISTand the key lab for ENC at HunanU. It includes a one-day meeting with presentations, and lab-stay for the remaining days, assigned according to the students’ research topics. The selected students will give a talk at the meeting, about their research ideas and results. (* About JASSO, visit http://www.jasso.go.jp/)
Five student researchers will be selectedfrom IS-HunanU, and are expected to
be doctor or master course students with higher scores
have clear research idea and procedural results
give a presentation in English at IS-NAIST about his/her research
You are invited to submit the following for the selection at IS-HunanU (by June 10, 2014) to khyang@hnu.edu.cn :
Application (including brief experience, skills and supervisor’s recommendation)
Score sheet at IS-HunanU
An abstract in English about your research idea and results
Applicants will then be asked togive a presentation in English about their research, and to complete a questionnaire. The final candidates will be announced by the middle of July.
